The Heartland Soccer Association a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the development of youth soccer players in the Kansas City metro area, has moved its corporate office to the Aspiria campus in Overland Park, Kansas. The move took place on November 6, 2023.
The Heartland Soccer Association is recognized as the largest youth soccer league and tournament host in the United States. The organization boasts an impressive roster of more than 3,450 league teams annually and hosts 14 tournaments each year that attract more than 3,700 teams from 16 states. With a staggering 74,000 youth soccer players, 4,000 coaches, and 2,000 active referees, Heartland Soccer has solidified its position as a leading youth soccer organization since its establishment in 1977.
The Aspiria campus, located at 6130 Sprint Parkway near 119th and Nall Ave. in Overland Park, is managed by Wichita-based commercial real estate company, Occidental Management. Hunter Johnson, Senior Vice President of Sales and Leasing for Occidental Management stated, “This newest addition to the Aspiria campus shows the rapidly growing momentum of companies moving to the Aspiria campus. We believe Heartland Soccer’s presence in Overland Park will increase their visibility in the community, and the many amenities Aspiria provides are a welcome benefit to the association’s employees.”
Heartland Soccer provides opportunities for recreational and premier players alike. More than 30,000 league participants and 40,000 tournament players can compete and play at various skill levels in both leagues and tournaments. Heartland Soccer plays at four world-class turf facilities: SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex (SOP), Compass Minerals Sporting Fields (CMSF), Swope Soccer Village (SSV), and GARMIN Olathe Soccer Complex (GOSC).
Heartland Soccer Executive Director, Shane Hackett added, “Aspiria is a great fit for us. We are committed to fostering a sense of community among our member clubs and community partners, and the Aspiria campus aligns perfectly with that vision. The state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative meeting spaces will undoubtedly enhance our ability to connect, plan, and work together seamlessly. With its convenient location, modern and unique amenities, along with ample parking, we are confident that this new space benefits our internal operations as well as elevates the overall experience for our valued members.”
