Elite Harness: Leading the Way in Advanced Manufacturing

Insomnia Cookies, the beloved cult brand known for serving warm cookies all day and late into the night, has opened a bakery in Union Station in downtown Wichita. Located in the plaza kiosks at Union Station and within walking distance of the Old Town District, the new store marks the brand’s first location in Wichita and third location in Kansas.
Insomnia is here to the rescue when that craving for something sweet hits (even at 3 a.m.!), Insomnia Cookies offers in-store, pickup, and delivery options for customers to experience the company’s signature warm, delicious cookies. From the Classic Chocolate Chunk cookie to favorites like Snickerdoodle and Confetti Deluxe, delicious Cookies in Ice Cream flavors,
decadent brookies, brownies, and blondies, a full slate of vegan options, and a frequently-rotating limited-edition menu, the brand’s offerings satisfy every sweet tooth – warm or cold.
Charlie King, Sales and Leasing Manager for Occidental Management, which owns and manages Union Station, stated, “Insomnia Cookies represents entrepreneurship at its finest,
from a college start-up now to a nationwide late-night bakery chain. Wichita is a foodie town and we’re pleased we could work with Insomnia to open the perfect central location for them at Union Station. Union Station provides them with great exposure and foot traffic.”

In celebration of the new Wichita location, Insomnia Cookies held an all-day in-store grand opening event on September 29, 2023 with a late-night celebration baked full of freebies, treats and more. The late-night bakery also gives back to the local Wichita community by donating a portion of retail sales from the grand opening event to the Kansas Food Bank. During their soft opening the day before, they recorded the third highest sales in the country. The downtown Wichita store is the company’s 250th Insomnia Cookies location.
“We are excited to add the nationally recognized Insomnia Cookies to the historic Union Station campus,” said Chad Stafford, President, Occidental Management. “Their commitment to this location further solidifies the momentum for businesses locating and growing in downtown Wichita.”
Insomnia Cookies is a rapidly expanding late-night bakery concept headquartered in Philadelphia, PA. Founded in a University of Pennsylvania dorm room by then-student Seth Berkowitz, Insomnia Cookies has been feeding the insatiable hunger of loyal Insomniacs since 2003. Today, with 250 locations nationwide, Insomnia Cookies offers a wide variety of delicious cookies, ice cream, and other sweet treats in-store, for local delivery and nationwide shipping.

Details about Insomnia’s menu, delivery and nationwide shipping options can be found HERE (late-night delivery until 1 a.m. or later). Catherine Burns, Senior Marketing Activations
Manager for Insomnia Cookies, stated, “We’re excited to have expanded into the Wichita market. Being downtown and in the heart of the city was part of the attraction of choosing
the location at Union Station. Working with the team at Occidental Management has been great. We look forward to a great partnership.”
The new store will deliver to Insomniacs at Wichita State University, Friends University, Newman University, and throughout central Wichita. Insomnia Cookies looks forward to satisfying the cravings of WuShocks, Freddy Falcons, Johnny Jets, and Wichita cookie lovers alike.
