Mirai Ramen & Sushi Now Serving at Bel Pointe Shopping Center

Mirai Ramen & Sushi restaurant has opened at Bel Pointe Shopping Center, located at 6254 E. 37^th St. N., Suite 180 in Bel Aire. The restaurant had a soft launch last week and is already serving up customers.

Mirai is co-owned by Johnny Chandra, Victor Nawawi, Hendry, Tanto Santoso, and Howie Chandra. The partners also own Tuptim Thai Restaurant, with two locations – one in East Wichita and the original location in Topeka.

Chandra and his partners are all originally from Indonesia and met while working together at an Asian cuisine restaurant in Topeka. It was at that restaurant where they began learning and honing their cooking skills.

“We enjoyed the business and working together,” said Chandra. “We had the desire to open our own restaurant and knew we already had good people and the skillset to give it a try.”

Mirai took over the former SpringRo location at Bel Pointe Shopping Center. The 2,087 square foot space is shadow anchored by the Bel Aire Dillons, making it a prime location for attracting area residents as regular customers.

Leasing agent Nick Flores of Occidental Management, which operates and manages Bel Pointe Shopping Center, stated, “We’re thrilled to have Mirai join our community of businesses. They are a perfect fit for the location, and we know that our property management team will ensure they can focus on making great food for their customers.” Assisting the partners of Mirai in finding their new location was Zach Zerbe with Landmark Commercial Real Estate.

Chandra added, “The team from Occidental Management was very helpful. They helped us go through the process from the beginning to construction and remodeling, and made the process go smoothly.”

Mirai is currently open daily from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Dining options include dine-in, carry-out, and online ordering. The menu includes Tonkotsu and Shoyu ramen, rice bowls, a variety of appetizers (edamame, tempura, pork gyoza, and shrimp shumai), and several Chef’s Special sushi options (including a Royals Roll, a Chiefs Roll, and a Spiderman Roll). Vegetarian options also available.

“The people of Wichita are very friendly and supportive of local businesses,” added Chandra. “Next, we would love to expand into West Wichita with either another Thai or ramen restaurant.”
