Aspiria introduces RideKC bike share program to Overland Park mixed-use corporate office park

RideKC Bike’s bike share program is now available at Aspiria in Overland Park. The installation of seven rental/drop-off stations around its 200-acre campus are officially available for use.

Anyone in the Overland Park area can use the bikes by downloading the RideKC Bike app and creating an account. Employees at Aspiria will have special access to these shared bikes with 80 minutes of free riding per day on the Aspiria campus as well as anywhere that RideKC bikes are available in the Kansas City area.

Hunter Johnson, Senior Vice President of Sales and Leasing at Aspiria, says the addition of the bikes to the campus is another differentiator that Aspiria has to offer its current and potential tenants.

“The RideKC program adds even more life to an already vibrant and growing community at Aspiria,” Johnson said. “Partnering with RideKC goes hand-in-hand with our wholistic approach at Aspiria to help our tenants attract and maintain a talented workforce.”

Existing tenants at Aspiria will have immediate access to the new electric and classic bikes. These fun, efficient additions to the sprawling campus have been highly anticipated by the management team according to Aspiria’s General Manager, Jeannette Vahle. They are excited to see tenant employees embrace the new bikes.

RideKC has ride share bikes throughout downtown Kansas City as well as select locations around the metro area. Their bikes at Aspiria will be their largest venture in the region.

“We are thrilled to be coming to Aspiria in Overland Park,” said Eric Vaughan, RideKC Bike Director of Bike Share. “Our bikes and programs in and around Kansas City have been such a success, and we are excited to make Aspiria our first major corporate campus in the Overland Park community. It will also be the largest bike share program in the Greater Kansas City region.”

In addition to adding the RideKC Bike program to the Aspiria campus, the commercial real estate provider is donating all its current bike racks to the nonprofit BikeWalkKC, the parent organization of RideKC Bike. The nonprofit will use them in their Safe Routes to School program providing biking infrastructure to area schools in need. “

“Many of the schools we work with do not have adequate bike parking for their students. Aspiria’s bike rack donation to schools in need will help make riding to school an easy and safe choice for students,” said Amy Scrivner, BikeWalkKC Director of Development & Communications.

Anyone can sign up today to use the bikes at Aspiria or anywhere in the KC Metro. Download their app, RideKC Bike, today to get started. To learn more and explore the bike locations on the Aspiria interactive map, visit www.aspiriakc.com
